Elegant Beginnings: 801 Chophouse


We started downtown at the iconic 801 Chophouse, known for its moody lighting, classic interiors, and vintage charm. Skylar wore a stunning white one-shoulder dress with delicate lace details and soft white heels tied with lace bows. She looked absolutely radiant—graceful and confident. Ben complemented her perfectly in a tailored black suit, giving the entire session a timeless black-tie feel.

Grand Romance at the WWI Memorial


From there, we headed to one of our favorite Kansas City photo locations: the National WWI Memorial. With its sweeping views and stone architecture, it added a dramatic backdrop to this classic look. The light was soft, the breeze was gentle, and the city skyline glowed behind them.

Ben and Skylar looked completely at home in this space—walking hand in hand, stealing kisses, and sharing quiet glances. This part of the shoot captured the editorial side of their love—bold, cinematic, and deeply romantic

Soft & Playful at Loose Park


To close out the evening, we made our way to Loose Park, one of Kansas City’s most iconic spring engagement photo locations. Ben & Skylar changed into relaxed, stylish outfits that reflected their everyday vibe—but the love and energy? Still full-blown magic.

Their sweet dog joined in for part of the session, adding the perfect dose of personality and playfulness. We captured cozy moments with their pup, complete with wagging tails and muddy paws, before diving into the carefree, fun-filled portion of their shoot.

Ben & Skylar were all laughter and spontaneity—dancing barefoot through the grass, getting silly, and popping open a bottle of champagne for a celebratory spray that soaked them both (and maybe a little bit of us too). These are the kinds of moments that make engagement sessions feel unforgettable.
